AutoGuide takes the Jeep Compass Trailhawk off-road.
According to AutoGuide, the 2017 Jeep Compass Trailhawk is probably the most hardcore off-roader in its segment. No, it's not going to conquer Moab, Utah; but the compact crossover is more capable than you'd ever need.

The Compass has a 9-speed transmission.

 4-Wheel Rock Mode shows good distribution of power.

 Good power on village roads, but power is a little lacking off road.

 Driver has to press heavy on the accelerator to overcome rocky obstacles.

 Includes Hill Descent and Hill Ascent control.

 Not much wheel slippage in soft sand.
